General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • #__session table is not emptying

Hello,

I noticed that #__session table is not emptying and become very large over time. I am using the latest Joomla 5.0.3 (upgraded from 4.x, which is upgraded from 3.x). Can somebody explain to me how the emptying of this table works? What server settings I should check?

My session lifetime is 15 min. Users are logged out after that time normally. However, just the database table is not emptying by itself, so I must truncate it manually once per week or so.
