General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • Custom field backend restriction question

Hi

I have a small issue with the placement of Custom Fields in the backend.

Have built at category structure like this:
Category 1
- sub category 1
- sub category 2

I then create custom fields that are in groups and restricted to categories.

Group 1
- Custom field 1 - restricted to Category 1

Group 2
- Custom field 2 - restricted to Sub category 1

So now if i go and create an article for Category 1 i see Group 1 fields only - all is good
But if i create an article for Sub category 1 i see both Group 1 and Group 2 fields, despite they are Group 1 fields are restricted to the parent category.

It might be inteded but is there a way to restrict customfields to ONLY the assigned category and not its subcategories also?
